We are investigating the possibility of developing a parcel of vacant state government-owned land at West Footscray Station.
The proposed development site is on underused land on Cross Street, opposite Whitten Oval.
The development may include a residential apartment block as well as small retail spaces, delivering housing close to public transport and bringing activity to the station precinct.
Should the development proceed, it would be delivered in partnership with a private developer chosen through a two stage process, comprising an expression of interest (EoI), followed by a select request for proposal.
As part of the project, VicTrack is also investigating opportunities to invest part of the development proceeds into station precinct improvements at Tottenham Station.
