The VicTrack Executive team comprises the Chief Executive and Executive team members.
Campbell A. Rose AM
Campbell has been the Chief Executive of VicTrack since February 2013.
He was previously Chief Executive Stralliance Developments and Watersun Homes, a Melbourne based development and Construction Company.
He was the Chief Executive of the Western Bulldogs Football Club from 2002-2011, after returning to Melbourne from Brisbane where he had been running the 2001 Goodwill Games as Chief Executive.
From 1995 to 1999 Campbell held the position as Chief Executive of the Melbourne Major Events Company Limited, which was responsible for many international concerts, festivals and international sporting championships and events being brought to Melbourne and Victoria for the first time. This also included securing the rights for Melbourne to host the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
Garry Button (currently on secondment to Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources)
Deputy Chief Executive
Garry joined VicTrack as Deputy Chief Executive in late 2013. He has more than 35 years financial and corporate management experience, gained in a diverse range of sectors including transport, health, energy, retail, media and consumer products.
Prior to joining VicTrack, Garry spent time working in senior executive financial and commercial roles at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, the Queensland Department of Health, CS Energy and Stanwell Corporation Limited, where he was the company’s nominee Director on the Board of ASX listed Blue Energy.
Before this, he spent 11 years working in senior financial and corporate positions at Queensland Rail. His career also includes time working at Fairfax Media and Unilever Australia.
Peter has almost 20 years of experience working in the property, construction and infrastructure industry and joined VicTrack in August 2014.
Peter started off his career as Senior Project Architect and qualified town planner. Peter then held senior legal roles at Baker & Mckenzie, BlueScope Steel and then as an executive at Silcar (a multi-national Thiess and Siemens joint venture) where he had key roles in the delivery and implementation of major developments, construction and infrastructure projects with blue-chip clients such as Yallourn Power Station, NBN, Telstra, Optus, Mirvac, Becton and Central Equity.
Acting General Manager
Mark joined VicTrack in February 2016 as Group Manager of Finance and Controls.
Mark has an extensive background in finance, systems and controls.
He worked for Rio Tinto from 1982-2015 in numerous finance-related roles including Chief Financial Officer for the global Rio Tinto Technology & Innovation group, and General Manager - Finance, Systems & Reporting for the global Rio Tinto Major Projects group.
Bruce has over 15 years telecommunications experience gained through engineering and management roles in major telecommunications carriers both nationally and internationally. He has held roles with Telstra and SingTel Optus in Australia, IndoSat in Indonesia and Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates.
During his time at VicTrack, Bruce has led engineering and operations groups and has been active in developing a service and customer management culture to the Telecommunications Group, bringing the technical and customer components of the business together to deliver high quality services to VicTrack’s customers.
Daniel van Oosterwijck
Project Delivery Group
With over 23 years of experience in design, asset management, infrastructure planning and project management, Daniel has extensive private and public sector experience.
Prior to starting at VicTrack in March 2016, Daniel worked at Downer Infrastructure Services as General Manager Engineering, which was a national role leading a team of specialist engineers, technicians and designers, providing services to the construction and utilities sectors.
Daniel has held senior roles with Yarra Valley Water, Tenix, Bovis Lend Lease and Fluor Corporation in roles spanning planning, engineering, business and project management.
People & Culture
Kristen has been VicTrack’s Manager People, Culture and Systems since the beginning of 2014, a role that involves overseeing both the People and Culture Group and the Information and Communication Technology Group.
Prior to starting in this position, Kristen worked at VicTrack as Acting General Manager Business Services and prior to that Manager Information Technology.
Kristen has extensive public sector experience in senior leadership positions and a strong background in information technology. She had 15 years experience in senior leadership roles covering functional areas including Finance, Customer Service and Billing, Information Technology, Risk and Safety and People and Culture.
Communications & Engagement
Anna has 15 years of experience in communications and stakeholder relations from working in both the public and private sector. At VicTrack, Anna has lead the organisation's approach on community engagement, and worked to deliver enhancements to improving stakeholder management, and building stronger client relationships.
