The Alphington Spur is approximately seven kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD.
The site runs between the railway line to the north and Heidelberg Road to the south. The land once formed part of a rail connection so trains could service the nearby paper mill, and the land is no longer required for transport.
The parcel of land, close to public transport, major roads, existing services and infrastructure and in an established neighbourhood, has potential to be used for many purposes to respond to local and broader community needs.
We have reflected feedback received about the land in a community engagement report, as we continue to look at how the land may be used in the future.
