Bendigo and Eaglehawk station upgrades

On behalf of the Victorian Government, we are revitalising the Bendigo and Eaglehawk stations to provide the first major upgrade to these transport hubs in decades.

The project will support improved accessibility, usability and amenity at both regional stations and responds to findings from a community consultation process.

This $15.8m State Government funded project has now gone to tender and is due for completion by early 2019.

The project delivers on initiatives under the Bendigo Station Improvement Plan and the Eaglehawk Station Precinct Master Plan. It is supported by the Victorian Government’s Regional Development Network Plan that was kick-started by the Government’s $1.3 billion investment in regional public transport through the 2016-17 Budget.

The works will deliver a new pedestrian overpass with lifts and stairs to enable better pedestrian movement between platforms, an improved station waiting area and better parking and traffic management outside the station.

The upgrade will provide a platform extension and an additional carpark to make it accessible for people of all abilities.
