Deputy General Counsel
About the role
The Deputy General Counsel will be responsible for managing and delivering legal services, advice and strategic guidance across all legal matters pertaining to VicTrack. In this generalist role, you will provide counsel on a diverse range of issues aligned with VicTrack’s core legal priorities, including commercial law, property, construction, telecommunications, employment, and litigation.
The Deputy General Counsel’s effective day to day management of the VicTrack Legal function will be vital to enabling the General Counsel to meet their broader responsibilities as Executive General Manager, Legal, Governance and Integrity. This support will ensures the Executive and Board continue to receive timely, reliable legal and commercial advice – while also ensuring the Legal team is appropriately supported in the provision of their advice and their own professional development.
The Deputy General Counsel will need to exercise independent legal judgment while remaining attuned to the strategic direction and oversight of the General Counsel, and knowing when to escalate matters appropriately.
Position status: Fixed term, Full-time

The Network Engineer will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that enhance VicTrack’s existing data transport capabilities, including:
- Routing and switching
- Network and services migration strategies
- Hardware enrolment, configuration, management and reporting
- Lifecycle of hardware and software
- Security assessment and compliance
- Test and verification
Working alongside Platform Architects and with subject-matter experts across VicTrack, the Network Engineer will realise strategic enhancements to Access Technologies that underpin VicTrack’s data products portfolio, including IPVPN, L2VPN, Internet and SD-WAN which utilise fibre, copper, 4G/5G, mmWave and satellite technologies.
Position status: Permanent full-time
