Gippsland Rail Corridor Station Upgrade Program

The upgrades through the Gippsland Corridor Station Upgrade Program have improved customer experience, accessibility, safety and convenience at Traralgon, Moe, Trafalgar and Morwell stations and enable people of all abilities to safely connect with other forms of transport.

We have completed the following works:

Traralgon Station

  • Car park upgrade, with 93 spaces and improved safety and security through CCTV and lighting - completed in May 2018.
  • Improved access through a new ramp and lowered ticket counter, as well as an upgrade of the accessible toilet in the station building.
  • A new accessible ramp, a new platform entry point with myki reader and bus bay improvements.

Moe Station

  • New platform entry point with myki reader.
  • New lowered ticket counter and upgrade of the accessible toilet.
  • New drop off zone.
  • Improvements to the coach and bus interchange and footpath, including installing Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) to improve accessibility.

Trafalgar Station

  • New platform entry point with myki reader.
  • Improvements to the coach and bus interchange and footpaths, including installing TGSIs.
  • Bike hoops.
  • New shelter on platform two.
  • Car park resurfacing and line marking.

Morwell Station

  • Upgraded car park with 53 spaces.
  • New platform entry point with myki reader.
  • Ramp to connect the station and platform to the pedestrian underpass, with TGSIs.
  • New lowered ticket counter and re-alignment of the doors to the station building.
