VicTrack’s development partner Neometro is gearing up for the revitalisation of the Jewell Station precinct by hosting a variety of events during their apartment sales campaign, aimed at fostering a sense of community at the new development.
Visitors to the Jewell Station precinct are being treated to regular art exhibitions, farmers markets and yoga sessions, as well as talks, workshops, performances and installations. They can also view the display suite on the site, which showcases the apartment interiors by renowned design studio Clare Cousins Architects.
The plans for the redevelopment of the area around Jewell Station were approved by Moreland City Council earlier this year. Neometro is now carrying out marketing and presales of the 78 one- and two-bedroom apartments that are set to form the first of two mixed-use buildings on the site.
When the project is complete, the Jewell Station precinct will provide increased housing diversity close to Upfield line trains, Sydney Road trams and shops, Princes Park and the Upfield bike path. The station will be brought to life through public art, community gardens, events, cafes and independent retail, drawing people to the station and increasing safety by activating it throughout the day and night.
The historic station building will form the centrepiece of the revamped station forecourt, being funded by VicTrack from the development proceeds. A new ramp and stairs will improve access to the station, there will be increased public bike parking, and the Upfield bike path will be upgraded within the precinct.
Using its expertise in property development, VicTrack facilitates commercially viable projects around station precincts to enhance public transport and design outcomes, increase housing diversity close to public transport and create safer, more vibrant and more accessible precincts.
Homebuyers and investors who are interested in purchasing a property at Jewell Station should contact Savills agent John Kravaritis on 0413 561 225, or visit the onsite display that doubles as a meeting space, bringing the community together for talks, workshops, performances and installations.
The display is open from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 11am to 2pm on weekends, or via appointment.
