The Andrews Labor Government has finished building 177 new car parks at Keilor Plains station, giving passengers in the growing west an easier trip to work or school in the morning.
Member for St Albans Natalie Suleyman today announced the completion of works, which will allow more passengers to drive to the station and catch the train.
The works included installing new lighting, line markings, CCTV and signage to improve safety and station access.
The Labor Government’s $20 million Station Car Park Upgrades Program is building more than 2,100 extra parking spaces at regional and metropolitan train stations — where they are needed most.
It comes as the Labor Government in August added ten more peak services on the Sunbury line, reducing waiting and crowding at the busiest times of day.
