Maldon Station goods shed

We carried out works to restore the historic Maldon Station goods shed, which is used by the Victorian Goldfields Railway to support its repair and maintenance works.

The heritage restoration works returned the 130 year-old heritage-listed building to its former glory.

They included works to restump the goods shed and external platforms, repair the damaged floor, wall and roof, and install a new galvanised roof.

A new platform extension to replicate the original platform on the goods shed was also built as part of the project.

The works were funded and managed by us on behalf of the Victorian Government, through our annual Heritage Programand support the ongoing operation of the tourist and heritage railway service.
