Station car park upgrades

In the 2016-2017 Victorian state budget, the government committed $20 million to provide more commuter car parking spaces across metropolitan and regional train stations.

VicTrack is managing these works on behalf of government, to unlock land at stations and provide more sealed car parking that will improve accessibility and enhance safety through new lighting, CCTV and signage.

The Car Park Upgrades Program will deliver up to 2100 new commuter parking spaces with works scheduled to commence in 2017.

To engage local communities and commuters on the car park concept designs, face-to-face community consultation sessions were conducted between September and December for each of the 14 stations identified so far. The concept designs were also made available on this website for comment.

Insights gained from early consultation with the community and councils have informed the final car park designs.
