Rahul Gadre

Winning new business or delivering a project with his team gives Rahul strong job satisfaction and keeps him motivated.

I joined VicTrack straight out of university as a Customer Services and Products Coordinator. It was my first job. I started knowing not much at all about VicTrack, so I had a lot to learn. I quickly found my place and, 13 years later, I’m still here.

I'm now the Group Manager of Commercial and lead a team of more than 50 people.

The customer and what they need from VicTrack as a telecommunications provider is at the heart of what my team does.

The functions of my team include sales, customer service, product development, commercial evaluation, carrier relations, contracts, and billing.

The work is really rewarding but the people I work with make it even better.

VicTrack is fantastic at developing and promoting its own people. I’m proud to have been promoted four times since joining the business and been supported through formal training and on the job training.

I've learned project management, leadership, commercial skills, IT best practice, customer service, and technical writing.

The work is really rewarding but the people I work with make it even better. We have great people and a real culture of teamwork.

Everyone pitches in, sharing their knowledge, experience, and skills. Winning together, be it winning new business or delivering a project, gives me a real sense of satisfaction.

Work life balance is something that’s really important to me. VicTrack allows me to work flexibly, meaning I can achieve a good balance between my personal and professional life.

Being able to spend time taking my dog for lunch time walks on some days helps me take a break and be fresh and focused when I’m back at my desk.

For an organisation of VicTrack’s size, we make a big impact within the public transport and government sectors with the technology and telecommunications products and services we offer, and that keeps me motivated.
