Film or take photos on VicTrack land

Our land and buildings are often used as locations in film, television and commercial productions.
 
We offer a diverse aesthetic ranging from urban to a rural, heritage or period feel. That's why our locations have been used in award-winning films and internationally-screened television productions.

For location scouts

Some of our land and buildings can be viewed on the Film Victoria website but other sites may also be available. If you find a location that we own, and it's not listed on the Film Victoria website then email us at communications@victrack.com.au

To book an appointment to view a potential location please email communications@victrack.com.au and tell us:

  • your name, company name, address and ABN
  • a contact number
  • details of the location
  • any special requirements for the production
  • dates and times you are available to see the location. 

All photos taken of the location must be supplied to VicTrack within one week of viewing.


Commercial productions

To access a site for a production, the fee is $1,000/day and requires an executed access deed prior to occupying the site.


Student films

To access a site for a student film, there is a negotiated fee structure available during the scouting phase. An executed access deed is required.

We are a state-owned organisation with an independent Board. We are the owners of Victoria’s transport assets, and work alongside

Most of our railway land, assets and buildings are leased to the public transport operators, and they are responsible for maintaining the assets leased to them.
